            It's long overdue that the x86 world adopted the legacy-free model that the
    PCI Macs started, and the iMac completed. This is as important for OS stability
    as was Apple's dropping "legacy" 24 bit support with System 7.6.

            Anyway, you can start out at <http://www.bootdisk.com> for booting info; and
    if you need to build a bootable CD you can go to <http://www.winchen.com>.

            One nice thing: Since about 1994, PC's (starting with servers &/or SCSI card)
    had CD booting capability. But, you need to use either an OEM CD (such as an
    NT4 or Win98 CD), or a bit-for-bit copy of it.

            If you can, I would recommend Windows 2000 since it runs quite nicely on the
    legacy-free iPaq's...
