            Hello, Jennifer!

Hopefully you aren't TOO cold down in SW Virginia!

Anyway, I stand by what I said about Acrobat .PDF files being cross-platform,
even for high end work. Yes, you can have issues if you don't embed the
typefaces... You need to set the Distiller Preferences and Job Options for
prepress use, as opposed to general purpose screen & print document
    distribution.

Keep in mind that an Acrobat PDF document is really a special form of a
PostScript .PS file; and PostScript was designed from the start to be platform
independent almost 20 years ago - Even *before* there was a Mac!

Just make sure your printer has - Or can get - the free Acrobat Reader at
<http://www.adobe.com/acrobat> and they'll be fine. BUT, you need to take care
in what you actually put in the file, sorta like a mini preflight.

            Cheers!
            Dan
