I think you may have diagnosed the problem by your last sentence: Having a
share name with a space in it. You may have to go into the Registry and put
quotes around the entire path, since spaces in file names and paths sometimes
fouls things up.
Also, I recommend mapping the share to a drive letter on each of the Windows
clients. [You can select any letter from D to Z; but convention calls for
network drives to occupy N through Y.]

PS: Z can be selected; but certain clients increment drive letters causing
crashes when Z is used!
