I have been using the Farallon (remember that they used to be a Mac
only company, so they do understand that not everything is
PC-centric) card for about 2 months and it works great.

    My only objections are:

    1. It sticks out from the side of the G3 so much (presumably as an
antennae) that it does not fit in my carrying case when installed.

    2. Although I have no comparative proof, I do not think that the
range in my house is as good as what Apple specs the native G3 cards.

    3. There does not seem to be any way to gracefully get Appletalk to
switch back to another protocol once the card is removed (like when I
go to the office and plug into our Ethernet LAN). Location Manager
just does not handle it, and you have to actually bring up the
    Appletalk control panel.
