    It's an antenna, and without it, your range is DRASTICALLY reduced...;-)

    It's probably within a few feet...you have to remember about background RF
    being a limiter as well as walls, ceilings, etc.

    That's got to be an issue with the Farallon cards, the Lucent cards have
    worked flawlessly for me.
