I called Netgear and specifically asked them which of their routers supported the AppleTalk protocol over the wireless connection and they said the MR314 and MR814. I found the MR814 for a good price at Micro Warehouse and it looked to have slightly more features on the firewall side than the MR314. I don't recall if I even saw a MR314 for sale anywhere. Well I guess I'll find out. I have an older LaserWriter 320 that I currently have plugged directly into the PowerBook via the serial port but want to put an etherprint on it and make it part of the network.

Thanks for the links. I wish I had seen that before I bought. Well, it's not a deal breaker as I got the MR814 for a really good price but if I wasn't trying to get AppleTalk there would have been a whole bunch of other routers I would have considered.

Yes but it says requires Mac OS 9.2.1 and my PowerBook can only go up to 9.1.

I think I had seen some links to the WaveLan drivers but I figured those might be a bit dated and I wanted to get as current as possible to avoid any potential problems. There's also a place called ioxperts.com that has some driver available for $19.95 with a 30 day demo period.
