I've taken the plunge and purchased a Netgear MR814 wireless broadband router which is suppose to support AppleTalk over the wireless connection. I've not even opened the box yet as my cable modem still hasn't been installed but that's another issue.

I also purchased an Orinoco Gold card. This card will be used in my PowerBook 3400 running OS 9.1. The Orinoco card did not come with any Mac software but I've been told that it works with Apple's Airport software. I just downloaded Airport software 2.0.2 from Apple as it's listed as needing Mac OS 9.0.4 or later. The PowerBook 3400 can only go up to Mac OS 9.1. There's also an Airport software version 2.0.4 but it says you need Mac OS 9.2.1 or greater to us it. Anyone know what the difference is?

Are there any other drivers I can use with the Orinoco? I'm looking to find the most recent version that will work in my PB3400 that supports 128 bit encryption, and all of the other features. I don't understand why Proxim doesn't have drivers when their own materials say it works under Mac OS.
