The cable modem works when directly connected to the Win PC, but not to the
Mac. The system slows to a crawl on the Mac and IP addresses change about
every 30 seconds or so. I am not using any PPPOE software as I am not at
this time aware that I need any, but pray tell where I can get the software
just in case I need it. The router is at this time only a Win PC issue as I
haven't even been successful at getting the cable modem to work properly
with the Mac. Part of the reason that I wanted to try the cable modem on the
Mac was to see if the router problem also existed on the Mac.

Cheers,

Brian
