I started this whole mess and yes, v8.1 is the client that is Exchange for
Mac SP2 and the calendars and contacts are generated by PCs. So unless new
light dawns and/or Microsoft makes good on the promise of a new version of
Exchange for Mac that fixes all this as they alluded to in the 8.1 README
file then I guess my Mac users are hosed - well, except for Outlook Web
Access, which world pretty well from MacIE4.5.

(Supposedly) with Oulook for Mac SP2, the Mac and PC can share a calendar
now, and see each other's appointments (given appropriate permissions.) The
problem for Mac users is that the calendar doesn't LOOK like a calendar, it
looks like Inbox.

The appointments I when the Mac client looks at a calendar on our Exchange
server (in Public Folders) were all generated on PCs. I have NOT tried
posting events to these calendars from a Mac, though. Since it seems like
not too many folks out there run Outlook for Mac SP2 I could test this for
you if you like...
