RE: [WinMac] Mac Outlook Client to Exchange Calendar?

OK. Here's what my research has uncovered.

Using Outlook 5.5 SP2 on the Mac, I posted a message to a Calendar we have
in the Public Folders. It was called "This is only a test." When I created
the message, it showed up on the Mac's representation of the calendar as a
note. There is no way to set the time, recurrence, etc., for meetings the
way you can from the PC.

Looking at the same calendar on my PC, I can't see the note. Doing a find
for anything called "test" yeilds nothing. My post from the Mac is
invisible to the PC.

So, if you were planning on sharing a calendar and having Mac and PC users
read the calendar and post to it, Exchange will not do this for you. That,
coupled with the fact that Mac users see the "calendar" as an inbox full of
Messages, makes the calendaring aspect of Outlook for Mac pretty much
useless. Go with MeetingMaker, or take a look at Netscape Commuincator's
calendaring abilities.

I hope you get this before you go to your training!

Ian
