I think your problem is the stuff you did on PConsole. Get rid of it
all, and use JetAdmin to find and configure the unconfigured jetdirect.
It will create the Queue on the server and acts as it's own server under
Novell. Even though the jetdirect is an external one, (I'm assuming such
from your reference to LPT1:) it does not use the LPT port. From
Pconsole's point of view, using LPT1 for a connection means just that a
computer with a printer connected to it's parallel port. If that's
anything but Novell server, the computer needs to run (IiRC, it's been a
long time) RPRINTER so that Netware sees it as a print server.
JetDirects bypass all of this stuff as they act as their own server.

I've never had to touch pconsole in setting up some 15 or so printers on
jetdirects, everything is handled through jetadmin. You just have to be
logged onto the network as someone with Admin privledges.
