[WinMac] NetWare 3.12 and print queues

Hey, all. This is a rudimentary question, but I am so rusty with print
queues it's pitiful.
I just bought an HP JetDirect print server and an HP 890 inkjet printer to
add to my 3.12 network. I created a queue called HP_NORTH and a server
called HP_NORTH. I defined the printer in PCONSLE as connected to LPT1 on
the server HP_NORTH. I ran the HP JetDirect Admin utility and it could not
find the JetDirect server on the network. I know the "jack" into which the
server is plugged works because we authenticated to the server with a
workstation from that jack. I even tried having a different print server
handle the HP_NORTH queue, but to no avail. Jobs will show upin the queue
but never get sent to the printer because the server HP_NORTH will not
authenticate (if that is the correct term). Any suggestions? My
engineering group is getting upset because this is supposed to be "their"
printer.
