Well, if you used an alternate protocol, like NetBeui or AppleTalk,
that would be independent from the IP stuff.

Unfortunately, DAVE only runs over IP, not NetBeui. But PCMacLAN _does_
run over AppleTalk, so that'd work.

At any rate, that's lame. What you really ought to do is have the
either the Mac or the Windows machine be connected to the ISP, and
then run gateway/proxying software on that machine so that the other
machine can get through it to the Internet.
