LView (free) or LView Pro ($39 shareware) will do that, as well as
replace all the Jpeg/GIF/Tif/BMP/etc viewers you have. Quoite a nice
piece of work. LView is 16 bit and only handles JPEG/GIF/BMP/TGA (Targa)
file formats. LView Pro is much nicer, is 32 bit and handles:

JPEG, GIF, PCX, TIFF, TGA, and PPM (?) files. It also has screen capture
facilities and both versions do a considerable amount of image
processing chores as well. It's comparable to Graphic Converter on the
Mac side.

Authoring or viewing? For viewing all you need is Quicktime 3.0 on
either platform.
