[WinMac] What Windows programs can do the same thing??

Since Marc said some subscriber think the list is too network oriented. I'd
like to birng up a question of different flavor.

One obstacle I had when migrating from Mac to PC was to locate the tools I
usually used on the Mac on Windows so I could be productive right away.

Do you guys want compile a list of tools that you use on one platform and
corresponding (or similar, or better) tools on the other platform so that
it can help people who is migrating from one platoform to another.

FileList+ Advanced Disc Catalog
I use ADC to catalog my Win CD backups so I can search files quickly.

Tex-Edit NotePad Plus
Both are good text editor to convert text files between platforms

JPEGView Acdsee
I must say ACDsee is much faster.

Web Retriever ???
Web retriever create files with relative paths, still looking for
comparable PC software to download web pages.

ShrinkWrap WinImage
To create a image of floppy, HD or CD

soundApp Media player
To play back audio

Align Folders No such things for Windows

Multisession mounters No such thing for Windows
To mount different sessions of a CD. Cannot find any software to do that on
Windows

Fetch WS_FTP Pro
for download/upload

ColorSieve ???
To get the color value under cursor

Speech recognition program???

Astarte M. Pack Xing MPEG Encoder

MPecker Encoder or ???
Macromedia SoundEdit
Any input on MP3 encoders for Windows?

Toast Easy CD Creator

QuickTime VR programs?
