This might seem like an odd sugestion, you might want to consider using
Linux with NetAtlak+Asun patches, implements Appleshare/IP the performance
is GREAT.
RedHat Linux is also available for Alpha, for about 39.95 and it is fully 64
bit.

I manage the systems for about 12 dailies, and am evaluating Linux for some
of our production hubs, so far everything I have seen is positive, with a
LOT less problems than NT, And I personally like NT.
