Hi Andrew,
We use Cannon,HP and Apple printers here. The desktop printer will go
corrupted once in a while, so we just drag it to the trash and recreate it
from scratch. Also, Macs use a file called a .ppd file. It is stored in
the System folder/extensions/printer descriptions folder. You might want to
go to the HP site and download a new ppd for that printer.
