My first question is, WHY? Having just switched from ARCserve to
Retrospect on the Windows side of things I've not been happier. We've
used Retrospect for years to backup Macs but have used ARCserve for
years to backup the Windows computers. Now that Dantz has a good
Windows product I was glad to be able to dump ARCserve.

Keeping ARCserve up to date was not easy and not cheap. Tech support
was lousy and the whole program is too large and cumbersome for doing
backups. Retrospect has great tech support, simple to use interface, is
a small program. The clients also notify the users when they have and
haven't been backed up. ARCserve doesn't do that.
