    Hello All,

The near-death experience with my PowerMac 7200 is over. I
simply ran "Drive Setup" from the "Utilities" folder on the OS CD
and did a low-level format. The next time I ran Norton, it fixed all
problems, and all is well so far. The computer is still on
"probation" however, as I'm watching carefully for more fallout from
the bad sectors. Right now I'm just having trouble with my
reinstallation of Photoshop 2.5.1 (before reinstalling the 5.0
upgrade) -- it won't let me "personalize" my copy of the program
because "write access was not granted", whatever the heck that
means. As a result, I can't run it. Perhaps installing the upgrade
over it will solve that, since I don't need to use the 2.5.1 version
anyway. That's the only app that has given me problems upon
    reinstalling.

Thanks to everyone that gave advice. Happy holidays.

    Bob
