Just to let y'all know, I am running an interdenominational wireless
LAN at home thanks to Winmac. I have an Apple Airport, CPQ Aramada
M300 and Dell Latitude CP laptops (both with Compaq wireless cards)
and a WaveLan ethernet to wireless adaptor with a gold card inside
connected to my PM 9500. I am running 40-bit encryption.
Both WaveLan cards got their firmware updated on one of the PC
laptops and the Airport was configured with software from
http://freebase.sourceforge.net/. By shopping very carefully at
surplus stores on the web (isn't AltaVista wonderful?), I got all the
gear except the airport pretty cheaply.
