I don't know about Windows 2000. However I have successfully
printed through the LPR protocol from my home Macintosh to the NT
Servers that I administer at work. The printers are PostScript
printers and I'm sending PostScript files. I do not know the
technical details of what NT does to the files. It may convert them
to PostScript Level 1 and it may just leave them as I format them.

I configured my Mac using the Desktop Printer Utility because
the Chooser only uses AppleTalk for finding printers.
