At Cal Poly, they recently started charging $0.10 per page for all printing everywhere on campus. Macs and PCs print to the same laserprinters and they are definitely keeping track. Printing went from 500,000 pages per month to 42,000. They software they are using is Pharos. You don't have to use a card with Pharos. In the months before the program started, they set up the print servers and it just displayed how much you would have to pay next month.
