    That's because you're limiting the login to a NetBIOS name, something a Mac
    doesn't have. When the Macs login, the transport is AppleTalk, not NetBIOS.
    If you look in the Event Viewer, you'll see that when someone logs in from
    a Mac, the Workstation Name will be listed as simply Macintosh.

    What might help is DAVE from Thursby Software. DAVE adds NetBIOS support to
    a Mac so you can define a computername Windows computers can see. For this
    to work, you might have to use DAVE to allow Windows shares to be mounted
    and stop using NT's Services for Macintosh, at least for Mac volumes.
