We have a mixed lab of Mac's running OS 8.6 and PC's running NT 4 sp. 6. We
also run an NT 4 server. We have the logins for the PC's set up on the
server so they can only log in from that particular workstation. We use a
lab login for these machines, not a personal account for each user. We'd
like to do this for the Mac's but we can't seem to get it to work. Every
time we limit the account to only log in from "Mac1" we get an invalid
password error message. Does anyone out there have any solutions? Would
upgrading to Win2000 server help? How about upgrading to Mac OS 9?
