            This may help contribute to any discussions. I have a
    publically accessible web server that has an e-mail address for me
    listed on it that isn't listed anywhere other than that server. On
    top of that there is exactly one link from any other web site that I
    know about to mine and it isn't on any search engines.

            I received a SPAM message this month to that e-mail address
    which I have NEVER used to send a single e-mail to anyone!!

            SPAM is a fact of life and all that we can do is filter it
    out and go on. Nothing that we can do will keep us from getting it
    unfortunately.
