    Another update: I finally spoke with someone knowledgeable at Epson support,
    who also agreed that there's a problem, and they're overnighting a new
    printer to me, shipping paid both ways. That's good service for a refurb
    unit! But I still reserve judgement on the quality of the product until I
    get one that works as advertised.

    Thanks for the pointer to the epson inkjet list Jeff, I just subscribed.
    I'll post another note when I get a chance to test the replacement.
