In terms of software push, you might look at Microsoft's SMS (comments from
others?).
Form-Z is generally a keyed app. There is the option of using a
network-based "key" as opposed to a hardware key. I don't know about
attaching a hardware key to the laptops they're using, but it's also a drag
to have to be on the network in order to use the software. Of course, in an
academic environment, you may have a different licensing agreement (i.e.,
"timed" expiring licenses). Just a thought...
BTW, it seems interesting to me that students are required to run NT for use
of Illustrator, Photoshop, Canvas and Form-Z, all of which are
cross-platform but are historically Mac apps...
