    Zapping the PRAM was a good idea. While the PC monitor is still
    attached try setting the screen to rez to 640x480 at the lowest refresh
    rate possible. Then shut down completely and swap monitors. If that
    doesn't do it you might even try disconnecting the power cord and
    pulling out the battery on the motherboard. Wait a few minutes and put
    it all back together. Sounds like something on the Performa is
    remembering the settings for the PC monitor.
