    Lordy...she could have been using the ancient Windows 3.11 'Recorder'
    applet, that would do what she wanted....This is one reason why I keep a
    copy of win3.11 around...simple, useful,
    uncluttered-with-a-thousand-bells-and-whistles applets like that and
    cardfile (which still stores all my phone number and contact info) which
    still run, thankfully.
