For what it's worth, I totally endorse Richard Laycock's
recommendation that you look seriously at IP NetRouter. I have some
20 or so machines behind it (mostly PCs), and they all seem to be
happy.

Materially, I have only one thing to add. If you DO go the
IPNetRouter route, it might also make sense to join the mailing list.
The eMail support is excellent, and the developer is generally quick
to respond to suggestions for new features. Result, new versions are
available pretty quickly, and it might be nice to know when that
happens.
