a lot of it has to do with the fact that shoehorning a G4 into an older Mac
is like jamming a turbojet into a beetle, you CAN do it, but you won't get a
lot out of it over a G3.

and FWIW...I have at least four Macs with Newer upgrades, they are all
running perfectly
