I have NT4SP5 + SFM running on an old Alpha with 2 Mac volumes. Both volumes' icons are showing up on the Macs' desktops as black and white icons, where they were once in color. I ran DSKCHK and the directories were rebuilt, but the colorless icons persist. Both volumes are over 80% full, and I suspect that this is the cause of the loss of color. Hopefully as we trim the contents, the colors will return, but I'm also curious if anyone has an official explanation for this phenomenon, or if they've seen it before.
