[WinMac] Frequency of Outlook/Mac Checking Mail on Exchange Server

Hi All,

My wife's Mac is running Outlook 8.2.1 and is connected with a couple of
other Macs and a dozen or so PC's to an Exchange Server running (of course)
on a PC. How do I check and/or control the frequency that her Outlook
software checks for incoming mail on the server?

Also - the server is set to dial out once an hour to check for new mail and
to send queued mail. We have opted to not have the server set to
automatically connect when mail is queued as we are limited by our dial-up
connect hours each month. For those situations where it is urgent to send
or to check receipt is there a method to cause an immediate connect from the
Mac? I suspect not - we are told that there is one for the PC - I suspect
that it is by forcing an Internet Browse session using the dial-out modem.
I have access to Virtual PC for her machine (as well as Dave). Do I need to
install this to look like a PC to force the connection?

Regards,
Dean

p.s. I sent this message originally right around New Years - in case you
were celebrating and missed it - I still seeking a bit of help.
