My switch (an 8 port 10/100 SMC switch, can't go into great detail as I am
away from the office) seems to "forget" over time that I have set ports to
half-duplex. I got the suggested extensions and they seem to do the trick,
at least I haven't had any problems so far. The full-duplex light is still
on on all the ports, but the individual machines are all forced to
half-duplex so I am content.
