[WinMac] 8.6 unstable?

Help! I upgraded to 8.6 via the SMI file which only allows a predefined
install (no custom). After it was installed, the Finder keeps quitting. I
have Ram and Speed doubler (latest), Stuffit deluxe incl. Magic Menu
(latest), Adaptec U2W card (updated the firmware), Kensington mouse
(latest), ATI video card and multilingual internet kit. I installed all of
the 8.6 fixes I could find on the Apple site including the font fix. Any
ideas??
