        Interesting problem... Here's a few considerations to think about:

        Open Transport will run on System 7.1 as well as System 7.5.2 & up, but
NOT System 7.5 & 7.5.1...

        P5200's had a lot of hardware problems, and Apple had motherboard
replacement programs. These same problems occurred on the P62xx and
Performa 6300 machines - But not the Performa 6360;

        If memory serves me correctly, some brands of L2 cache worked, and some
didn't. You can yank the cache and max out the RAM, and the performance
should be about the same - Especially if you have File Mapping disabled
(Virtual Memory disabled);

        There was no System 7.5.4. Systems 7.5.3 and 7.5.5 have the Network
Selector Switch, allowing you to switch between Classic networking and Open
Transport;

        MacOS 7.6 & up has Open Transport only;

        AppleTalk 58.1.5 and MacTCP 2.0.6 were the last versions of Classic
networking. AppleTalk 58.1.5 is available on the NSI-ZM 1.5.1 installer
floppy.

        Hope this helps!
