Dwight,

Can't help you except to quote what is a type 3 error . . .

<***

ID=03 Illegal Instruction
The computer has a specific vocabulary of machine language instructions
it can understand. If a computer tries to execute an instruction that
isn't in its vocabulary, you see this error code. It's less likely than
error 02, but still very common.

***>

PS

If I were you I might consider going back to SP1 temporarily.

or . . .

I might try reinstalling SP2 -- but after restarting with the shift key
down (turns off all the extensions that might be getting in the way.

The next thing I would try is to get a copy of "Conflict Catcher" from
Casady & Greene, Inc. Conflict Catcher enables you to relatively easily
solve start-up conflicts through an automated start up testing procedure
. . .

. . . and also enables you to easily rearrange the start up order of
your extensions, which can solve many a conflict.
