I've been following this list for some time now and the above seems to be
popular opinion, but I have to say that with the exception of LaserWriter 8.4
(68K Runtime issue), out of the thousands of Macs that I've dealt with over
the years I simply have not run into "all sorts of errors" with Desktop
Printing. My first suggestion for the "...problems may soon occur." message
would be to alocate more memory to the Desktop PrintMonitor (Hard Drive >
System Folder > Extensions > Desktop PrintMonitor). Suggested = 175, Minimum
is set to 152, and Preferred is set to 164 (don't ask me why). Try Minimum at
175 and Preferred at 256. Of the few times I've had issues with Desktop
Printing (except LaserWriter 8.4) this has corrected it.
