Sorry, Carl, DAVE only handles the file *copy* accurately,
the file *name* (if in double-byte) collapses under DAVE as
well. "zannen deshita" - as the Japanese would say. ;-)
My fault, I should have been more specific.

Granted, it is better to be able to copy and get a strange looking
file name with the content intact than get an interrupted transfer
and nothing so using DAVE is better than SFM.

After checking more thoroughly, Win95 can't copy intact from
NT either so I think it's a deeper lying Windows problem.

As often is the case with Windows, we have found that the
'solution' is to change our work habits and do less (i.e. not use
Japanese in any file name) and 'solve' the problem that way.

"What did you want to do today"...

I digress, ;-) I'll get back to you later with a report on how
this works under ASIP 6.1.
