The latest version of DAVE uses Apple's Text Encoding Converter to
address double-byte characters in filenames. This allows us to copy
files with Kanji characters to a Windows computer and the result is the
same Kanji name on Windows. This is most apparent in the Japanese market
where DAVE is available in a Japanese version, but it should work the
same in the English version with the Text Encoding Converter code page
set to Japanese.
