I've been using Vicom Internet Gateway for a few years on a MacIIvx with
a DayStar 040/33 upgrade and it's "OK" but slow. Seems like routing stuff
slows download time by around 50%.

I hope to be upgrading to a cable modem soon and would like to put the
same type of configuration in place, however, I have some other options
I'd appreciate an opinion on.

1) I have an SGI O2 with Irix 6.5 more or less gathering dust.
2) I have NT Server loaded on a Pentium 100 I only use for serving a Mac
and a laptop and a printer.
3) The aforementioned IIvx

Is there a more efficient way to route internet traffic?

Thanks!
