Actually, proxy servers will work, but Network Address Translation
programs require less configuration on the client side. And imho,
they work better.

SyGate (http://www.sygate.com/products.html) provides NAT-based
services for Windows.

IP Masquerading (http://ipmasq.cjb.net/) provides NAT-like services
for Linux.

And for the Mac, there's IPNetRouter
(http://www.sustworks.com/products/ipnr/specification.html)

i've only used IP Masq, but have heard wonderful things about the
other two. Definitely looking into. SyGate's page above has a great
side-by-side comparison of NAT-based vs. proxy servers.
