That depends on if he has NT server or workstation

If you have server then you don't need any additional software.

goto
control panels>network
click on the services tab and if you don't have services for macintosh
listed click add. put in your NT Server CD and add services for macintosh.

once you have this configured the NT server will show up in the chooser
as a server.

If you have workstation then you should DAVE for the mac. It allow you
to log in to the NT server as If you were a another NT machine. I have
seen problems getting NT to talk to Macs so I would suggest getting your
Mac to talk to NT.
