Why don't you try Timbuktu. It works great. You could log into your NT
machine at work and do everything you mentioned above without an security
risk. It uses a specific port even so you could allow only access
through your router at the port level. That way only people using
Timbuktu could access the machine. I use this setup to administer 18 NT
servers from home on my Mac. It really helps to have a fast line at home
and at work but even a modem works very well
I had the network administrator punch a hole in the router so only my
fixed IP address could access the network. I think Timbuktu is the way
to go for most server setups. This way you can run them headless and
keyboardless.
Timbuktu works great in all the confiurations I ahve tried mac-mac,
mac-NT, NT-mac (this one feels wierd), NT-NT
Give it a try.
