I don't know why you have this animus for Aladdin, but criticizing
a company for using a compression scheme that goes far enough back as
to be accessible (assuming something goes wrong with self-extraction)
to users as far back as possible makes no sense.

So far, you have made up the lack of availability of Expander 5.0,
implied that the company is doing poorly, and now criticize them for
doing what a responsible company should be doing--trying it's best
to ensure access to those who aren't necessarily running the latest
and greatest software.

I don't know if 5.0 is good or bad or worth upgrading to. So far,
all I know is that you write like a jerk, don't check facts, and
don't care to know. That is information that could have been better
conveyed on a flame list somewhere. It has subtracted from the
purposes of this particular mailing list.
