I'm trying to set up Remote Access Service so I can dial in with my
laptop when I'm on the road. I have gotten the modem properly installed
under NT and have dialed out with it to make sure it is actually conected.

Problem is when I try to connect to it from the laptop, I get to the
"verifying username and password" dialog which inevitably times out. The
NT Server is not busy, so I believe there's a communications issue.

Any pointers on how to find out what's going wrong and where?

I'd eventually like to be able to dial in with an Mac to the same number
to get to some Services For Macintosh volumes which are already working
well on my LAN. Is this an achievable goal?
