Although I haven't tried this, I do a fair amount of work testing tcp/ip
connections between Windows in VPC and various database servers (Oracle
on NT, DB2 on mainframe). These connections work just fine, so you
should be able to do any kind of tcp connection....ftp for file transfer,
etc.

Exactly what do you want to do when you say 'connect two Macs'?
