Yuletide greeting to all at the Coop list,

In connection with Bion Pohl's comments about serious work with Virtual PC:

>I'm looking for resources for people using Windows NT under Connectix
>Virtual PC to do serious work. Connectix is so stuck on using VPC to play
>PC games that they overlook it's ability to use it as an alternative to
>shelling out for a WinTel computer just to run a couple of applications
>that haven't been upgraded to run on the Macintosh.

I would like to ask the following questions:

1) Does anyone on the list have any experience using AppleScript with
RealPC or SoftWindows? I am particularly interested in combining
AppleScript and MS-DOS command to run Windows programs. Ideas? Resources?

2) Is it possible to connect two Macs running RealPC, SoftWindows, Virtual
PC (I know VPC is not scriptable) or an OrangePC card together on the
Windows side if they both have Ethernet cards (PCMCIA or serial)? Can this
process be done through a combination of AppleScript and MS-DOS commands
each time the two Macs startup?

Brian

PS: I am not a great whiz at AppleScript, but I should be able to do what
is necessary if someone can walk me through the process.
