I think you REALLY need to think about your needs first,
buy server next. You're on the right track in your email,
keep that line of thought and get mgmt really involved.

Running all that stuff on ONE machine means that ALL is
gone or temporarily unavailable should the machine fail,
be stolen or otherwise not work for some reason.

I'm sure Dan Schwartz will post and say that NT is dandy
for what you want to do but barring someone of his caliber
to constantly maintain the thing - I doubt you'll be very
happy with NT.

If you also are going to have remote access over TCP/IP...
well, you'd better look at VPN (virtual private networks)
or some other form of secure link since NT has more holes
than a sieve.

Think about your needs (and internal capabilities) first,
NT looks appealing but carries a heavy maintenance penalty
down the (bottom) line.
