Some stations seem to be running OK with it, but some others have had serious
problems that seem to stem from SP4.

We use Ghost to replicate PCs to labs and public areas. The person who does
the replications claimed that SP4 was incompatible with Ghost Walker which
changes the name and SID after replication. He also said there were other
problems with SP4.

When I installed SP4 on my Macintosh, it trashed my NT setup. I had Novell's
Client 32 handling logins so that I could manage the Novell server from NT on
my Macintosh. After installing SP4, the login dialog just cycled back to
itself. It was impossible to get into NT. Ctrl-opt-del (option=alt on
Macintosh) just got me back to the login again. Bummer. Fortunately, I had a
dual boot with 95. I trashed the D drive, recreated it, and reinstalled NT
from scratch. This time, I stopped before doing SP4, did backups, and kept an
install log. Has been working fine for a week or more.

We do have SP4 running on several machines apparently without any problems,
and the Office of Instructional Technology says they have a lot of machines
running with SP4 and Client 32. So . . .
